Project Title: Environmental and Social Safeguard Compliance Audit of the Value Chain Development -Component 1 of the Agriculture Sector Modernization Project.
Client: Ministry of Agriculture and Plantation Industries and World Bank
Duration: August 2024 - February 2025
To conduct an Environmental and Social Safeguard (ESS) Compliance Audit in line with the World Bank’s safeguard due diligence procedures, as outlined in the project’s Environmental Assessment and Management Framework (EAMF).
Project Title: Conducting Baseline Survey on Socio-Economic, Wash, Health Situation, and Gender Status of Households in Project Areas in the proposed Water Supply Improvement Project
Client: National water supply and drainage board Sri Lanka and Asian Development Bank

To conduct a comprehensive baseline survey to establish benchmarks for key project indicators prior to implementation. The survey focused on assessing pre-intervention conditions across socioeconomic status, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), and health, with gender-disaggregated data where applicable.
Project Title: The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report for Solar Park in Siyabalanduwa & 25 KM Transmission line from Siyabalanduwa to Monragala
Client: Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority
Duration: May,2019- August,2021
To prepare an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the proposed Solar Park Project in Siyambalanduwa, as per the Terms of Reference issued by the Department of Forest Conservation. The study covered the project site and a 1 km buffer zone, with additional social assessment in the Kotiyagala GN Division and along the 25 km transmission line corridor.
Project Title: The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report for Proposed Gravel Mining Project at Moragahamada Estate, Nawathalwatta, Alawwa.
Client: Asset Enterprises(Pvt.) Ltd
Duration: January 2019-17.February .2020
The study assessed the environmental impacts of the proposed project and explored alternative options, including the “no project” scenario. It aimed to ensure the best use of resources while reducing harm to the environment. The work included collecting both existing published data and new field data on the physical, biological, and social environment. It identified possible impacts during construction and operation phases and proposed suitable safeguards. An Environmental Management Plan (EMP) was developed to guide monitoring and mitigation. The project is also intended to serve as a model for similar future projects.
Project Title: This feasibility study was commissioned by the Global Nature Fund (GNF), prior to the design of a project proposal titled “Climate Resilient Coastal Communities in South Asia: transnational partnerships, strengthening civil society agency, introducing innovative, climate-adapted technologies, and advocating for policy change and implementation”.

The feasibility study supported GNF in designing a project to strengthen coastal community resilience in four target countries. It identified key issues, challenges, and priority needs related to climate change, environmental conservation, livelihoods, food security, and social inequalities. The study also assessed and recommended suitable local partner organizations based on their capacity to implement project activities effectively.
Project Title: Initial Environmental Examination Report (Ieer) For Proposed Mineral Mining And Processing Project, At Aruwakkalu Quarry Site, Wanathawilluwa
Client: Asha Minerals (Pvt) Ltd
Duration: October 2023- April 2024
Our firm prepared an Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) as per the TOR issued by the Provincial Environmental Authority (PEA-NW). The study assessed project alternatives, existing environmental conditions, and possible impacts on the environment and communities. We proposed mitigation measures and developed an Environmental Management and Monitoring Programme (EMMP) to ensure compliance and support sustainable project implementation.
Project Title: Preparation of an IEE Report For The Project Refurbishment of Ten Tanks, Fabrication And Installation Of Loading / Unloading Pipelines And Installation Of Allied Facilities For Operation Of The Tank Farm At China Bay, Trincomalee.
Client: Trinco Petroleum Terminal (Pvt.) Ltd
Duration: October 2023- April 2024
The IEE report was developed using field surveys, secondary data, and expert input. Surveys assessed the physical, biological, and socio-economic environment, while secondary data supported the findings. A collaborative approach was used, with sector specialists identifying data needs and impact assessment methods. The analysis categorized impacts and designed mitigation measures. A cost-benefit analysis was done on socio-economic and environmental impacts. Draft reports were reviewed for quality before submission to the client.
Project Title: Quantitative and qualitative data collection for the impact, process, and project evaluations of the Promoting Autonomy for Literacy and Attentiveness through Market Alliances Project (PALAM/A).
Client: American Institute of Research (AIR)

To collect quantitative and qualitative data for the PALAM/A project in selected districts. The work included surveys with Grade 2 students and school staff, school observations, focus group discussions, and interviews with school and government officials to support project evaluation on literacy, nutrition, and school meal programs.
Project Title: Conduct a Household Survey on the Socio-economic Conditions among the High-Density Urban Populations in Colombo District
Client: United Nation’s Children Fund (UNICEF)
Duration: Feb,2021- August,2021
To conduct a household survey in low-income settlements in Colombo and Gampaha with support from UNICEF and USDA. The work included a literature review, key informant interviews, focus group discussions, and a questionnaire survey. A total of 1,986 households were surveyed using systematic random sampling. The results were analyzed using charts and tables. All COVID-19 safety measures were followed during fieldwork.
Project Title: Capacity Building of Communities Living in Medium Landslide Risk Areas in Sri Lanka to apply Local Mitigation Measures through Nature Based Solutions; and Enhancing the Capacity of Local Authorities

Duration: 27th of March,2022-27th of May,2023
To support the promotion and implementation of cost-effective, nature-based solutions (NbS) for landslide risk reduction in medium-risk areas. The project aimed to demonstrate practical community-level actions, build awareness among local communities and officials, and strengthen the capacity of NBRO and partner agencies. Training workshops were conducted to promote NbS as a sustainable and accepted alternative to traditional engineering methods, while also highlighting livelihood and environmental benefits
